Con el propósito de potenciar el deporte y el arte entre los integrantes de la comunidad académica, en el Tecnológico de Antioquia (TdeA) se entregó nueva implementación para la actividad física y la cultural.
La dotación consta de 1.750 artículos entre instrumentos musicales, materiales para los grupos de danza y teatro y otros suministros para las artes plásticas y escénicas; además de elementos deportivos como balones, uniformes y equipamientos requeridos para la práctica de diversas disciplinas atléticas.
“Queremos que nuestros estudiantes transmitan lo mejor de la Institución en todos los escenarios en los participen, que estén bien uniformados y cuenten con excelentes elementos para su formación en la cátedra ACUDE y las actividades de bienestar institucional. La idea es que se motiven para que obtengan excelentes resultados en todos los campos artísticos, deportivos y culturales donde representen al TdeA”, destacó el rector, Leonardo García Botero.
A la sala de música llegan ahora nuevos violines, violas, contrabajos, violonchelos, bandolas, tiples, guitarras eléctricas, trompetas, pianos, clavinovas, tambores, clarinetes, tubas y baterías, entre otros instrumentos. Estos elementos musicales reforzarán los procesos formativos y de proyección de los estudiantes que integran los grupos y participan en actividades artísticas en el TdeA.
“Esta entrega es muy significativa, especialmente para una Institución como la nuestra que sin contar con una facultad de artes se esmera por afianzar las aptitudes de sus talentos. Aquí tenemos 18 grupos artísticos entre artes plásticas, música y danza, lo que da cuenta del gran potencial y diversidad cultural”, comentó Carlos Mario Osorio Vanegas, profesional del área cultural.
Por su parte, los integrantes de los equipos y semilleros deportivos también recibieron una importante dotación consistente en implementos, balones, uniformes e indumentaria utilizada en las actividades atléticas. Esta implementación servirá para afianzar la preparación de los deportistas que buscan cupos para los Juegos Universitarios Nacionales, que este año se efectuarán en las ciudades de Armenia y Pereira, en el mes de septiembre.
“Sabemos de nuestro potencial deportivo. Si el año pasado con solo 19 deportistas quedamos en el puesto 17 entre 128 universidades, la meta para 2024 es poder llevar entre 35 y 45 representantes del TdeA a la final de los juegos de ASCUN. Confiamos en nuestros talentos y en el trabajo serio de los entrenadores que tenemos en cada deporte”, recalcó Jair Stevenson Salas, líder de deportes del TdeA.
Como cierre de este evento, el rector, Leonardo García Botero entregó la bandera de la Institución, en representación de los deportistas, a Yuliana Maryelis Paz Pérez, capitana de la selección femenina de baloncesto del TdeA. El año pasado esta estudiante de Trabajo Social y oriunda del departamento del Chocó hizo parte del conjunto que obtuvo los campeonatos de la Liga de las Américas y la Liga Suramericana de Clubes. Yuliana también hace parte de las selecciones Antioquia y Colombia con las que logró en 2023 el título de los Juegos Nacionales y el subtítulo de los Juegos Panamericanos.
New Sports and Cultural Implementation at TdeA
With the purpose of promoting sports and art among the members of the academic community, the Tecnológico de Antioquia (TdeA) delivered a new implementation for physical and cultural activity.
The elements consists of 1,750 items, including musical instruments, materials for dance and theater groups and other supplies for the visual and performing arts; as well as sports elements such as balls, uniforms and equipment required for the practice of various athletic disciplines.
"We want our students to share the best of the Institution in all the scenarios in which they participate, that they are well uniformed and have excellent elements for their training in the ACUDE seminar and the activities of institutional well-being. The idea is that they are motivated to obtain excellent results in all artistic, sports and cultural fields where they represent the TdeA," said the president, Leonardo García Botero.
New violins, violas, double basses, cellos, bandolas, tiples, electric guitars, trumpets, pianos, clavinovas, drums, clarinets, tubas and drums, among other instruments, now arrive in the music room. These musical instrument will reinforce the training and projection processes of the students who make up the groups and participate in artistic activities in the TdeA.
"This delivery is very significant, especially for an institution like ours that, without having a School of Arts, strives to strengthen the skills of its talents. Here we have 18 artistic groups between plastic arts, music, and dance, which shows the great potential and cultural diversity," said Carlos Mario Osorio Vanegas, a professional in the cultural area.
For their part, the members of the sports teams and training groups also received an important contribution consisting of items, balls, uniforms and clothing used in athletic activities. This implementation will serve to strengthen the preparation of athletes who are seeking quotas for the National University Games, which this year will be held in the cities of Armenia and Pereira, in the month of September.
"We know our sporting potential. If last year with only 19 athletes we were in 17th place among 128 universities, the goal for 2024 is to be able to take between 35 and 45 representatives of the TdeA to the final of the ASCUN games. We trust in our talents and in the serious work of the coaches we have in each sport," said Jair Stevenson Salas, sports leader of the TdeA.
At the end of this event, the president, Leonardo García Botero, handed over the flag of the Institution, on behalf of the athletes, to Yuliana Maryelis Paz Pérez, captain of the TdeA women's basketball team. Last year, this Social Work student from the Department of Chocó was part of the team that won the championships of the League of the Americas and the South American League of Clubs. Yuliana is also part of the Antioquia and Colombia teams with which she won the title of the National Games and the runner-up of the Pan American Games in 2023.
