El rector del Tecnológico de Antioquia, Leonardo García Botero, realizó el 29 de marzo la rendición de cuentas vigencia 2021, evento que permitió presentar e interactuar con la comunidad educativa y ciudadanía acerca de la gestión académica, administrativa y financiera de la Institución Universitaria de acuerdo con las líneas estratégicas del Plan de Desarrollo “Ser, Hacer y Trascender”, articulado con el Plan de Desarrollo de Antioquia “Unidos”.
En la ejecución del plan se alcanzaron positivos logros relacionados con: la calidad académica con pertinencia, que obtuvo un cumplimiento del 97%; visibilidad local, regional y nacional el 100%; educación inclusiva 81%; consolidación de la investigación e internacionalización 100%; emprendimiento e innovación 85%; con un alcance total de 92,4% en el año 2021.
Además, en las áreas de gestión se obtuvo un porcentaje de cumplimiento promedio del 95% relacionado con procesos como: Autoevaluación, gestión del talento humano, biblioteca, ayudas educativas, TIC, egresados, comunicaciones, gestión ambiental, virtualidad, secretaría general, vicerrectoría académica, así como las cuatro facultades y las direcciones administrativa y financiera, planeación, control interno, investigación, bienestar, extensión, regionalización e internacionalización.
Durante la rendición de cuentas, que conllevó a la socialización, consulta y participación de la comunidad, el directivo resaltó los impactos tanto académicos como administrativos, con logros alcanzados en 2021, tales como: el nuevo programa en Gestión de la Salud y Seguridad en el Trabajo, inauguración del Consultorio Jurídico y Centro de Conciliación Sofía Medina de López, el convenio de cooperación plurilateral con el Colegio Nacional de Instituciones de la Red Federal, la firma del pacto por la sostenibilidad con Corantioquia, el Sello Ecouniversidades en categoría AA y el Sello Naranja otorgado por Empresas Varias, la implementación de la metodología de alternancia híbrida; la implementación del Plan Estratégico de Seguridad Vial, el voluntariado de internacionalización; la entrega de canastas solidarias del Fondo Alimentario, el aula móvil infantil, la generación de la primera patente de la Institución, el Premio Nacional de Alta Gerencia 2021, entre otros.
García Botero, destacó el fortalecimiento que viene haciendo la Institución en lo ambiental y como a cada convenio que se firma se le pone un componente de investigación para articular los procesos misionales. Igualmente, hizo énfasis en la preocupación que se tiene por el tema del emprendimiento, la transferencia de conocimiento y la innovación para proyectar al TdeA en materia tecnológica, coadyuvando a su vez en la configuración y creación de espacios para incursionar con mayor ímpetu en lo digital, participando en procesos acordes con las nuevas tendencias que se proyectan cada vez más hacia la revolución 4.0 y que plantean nuevas exigencias y demandas para la comunidad académica en su formación profesional.
Finalmente, señaló como significativo hacer de esta clase de encuentros un ejercicio de construcción colectiva, gestión y mejoramiento, también, seguir apostándole al bienestar de los estudiantes con temas tan significativos como la política de inclusión, diversidad y género; la permanencia estudiantil y el crecimiento y posicionamiento que demanda el proceso de regionalización de la educación superior.

During the accountability event, which led to the socialization, consultation and participation of the community, the president highlighted both academic and administrative impacts, with achievements during 2021, such as: the new program in Management of Health and Safety at Work, inauguration of the Legal Office and Conciliation Center Sofía Medina de López, the plurilateral cooperation agreement with the National College of Institutions of the Federal Network, the signing of the pact for sustainability with Corantioquia, the Ecouniversity Seal in category AA and the Orange Seal granted by Empresas Varias, the implementation of the hybrid alternation methodology; the implementation of the Strategic Road Safety Plan, internationalization volunteering; the delivery of solidarity baskets of the Food Fund, the children's mobile classroom, the generation of the first patent of the Institution, the National Award for Senior Management 2021, among others.
García Botero, highlighted the strengthening that the Institution has been doing in the environmental field and how each agreement that is signed is put a research component to articulate the missionary processes. Likewise, he emphasized the concern that had for entrepreneurship, the transfer of knowledge and innovation to project the TdeA in technological matters, contributing in turn in the configuration and creation of spaces to venture with greater impetus in the digital, participating in processes in accordance with the new trends that are increasingly projected towards the 4.0 revolution and that pose new demands and demands for the community. academic in their professional training.
