Una puerta al mundo de oportunidades
Con entusiasmo y el Coliseo lleno de estudiantes, se llevó a cabo la tercera Feria Institucional de Prácticas Profesionales del TdeA, una estrategia que busca fortalecer los vínculos entre los programas académicos y el sector productivo. Este año, el evento contó con la presencia de 47 centros de práctica en diversas áreas del conocimiento.
Lucrecia Avendaño, coordinadora de prácticas de la Licenciatura en Educación Infantil, destacó que esta iniciativa es una apuesta institucional para que estudiantes de todas las carreras conozcan oportunidades reales de vinculación. “Cada facultad priorizó escenarios de práctica relevantes para sus programas, buscando ampliar la convocatoria y brindar acceso equitativo”, señaló.
Mónica María Villa, docente y coordinadora de prácticas de Trabajo Social, dijo que cada vez mejoran en organización y aumenta el número de aliados y estudiantes participantes, así como la interacción entre instituciones, lo que ha generado un ambiente propicio para tejer redes.
La profesora aseguró que los centros de práctica de ediciones anteriores repitieron la experiencia este año y se sumaron más: “Vieron una oportunidad para poder presentarle a los estudiantes lo qué hacen y cómo articularlos a esa cotidianidad de la práctica en esos escenarios”.
Estos encuentros dan seguridad a los futuros practicantes, los ayudan a identificar sus intereses y las empresas pueden favorecer sus procesos de selección. Sería algo así como un match, que se facilita, en parte, por la presencia de los mismos practicantes de algunas de las instituciones que hicieron parte de la oferta, como es el caso de Alejandro Salas, estudiante TdeA que desarrolla su práctica en nuestro Prometeo. Compartió que esta feria representa una gran ayuda para despejar dudas y encontrar opciones claras en un momento decisivo: “Creo que es una oportunidad muy grande, porque uno como estudiante al salir a realizar las prácticas está en un momento de estrés”.
Igual ocurrió en la estación del Municipio de Itagüí, donde John Dayron Pérez, uno de nuestros estudiantes TdeA, realiza su práctica profesional. Indicó que este espacio es muy provechoso, especialmente para quienes no tienen tanto tiempo para la búsqueda del centro de prácticas porque trabajan mientras estudian, como le tocó a él: “La Feria es espectacular, es una gran oportunidad”.
Estudiantes como Isabel Cristina López e Isabela Pavón, coincidieron en que este tipo de eventos brindan seguridad, claridad y perspectiva profesional. “Bueno, la verdad yo creo que es un espacio muy importante para todos los estudiantes del TdeA, para que podamos tener un panorama muy amplio sobre dónde hacer las prácticas y qué beneficios traen las empresas. Súper bien”, mencionó Isabel Cristina.
“Pues ha sido muy chévere porque da más amplitud a las opciones que tenemos para hacer las prácticas, poder evaluar realmente qué es lo que queremos para nuestra vida como profesionales”, completó Isabela.
Esta experiencia también muestra realidades del mundo laboral, nuevas para ellos. Por ejemplo, Santi Esteban Osorio se encontró con ofertas muy lejanas a su hogar, lo que representó para el estudiante un reto de adaptación, pero sacando lo positivo: “Es bueno ver tantas opciones y uno puede tenerlas a la vista y analizarlas”.
Por parte de las empresas, la participación también fue destacada. Leidi Yohana Osorio, analista de selección de Bancolombia, enfatizó en el valor estratégico de estos espacios con el estudiantado: “Es una estrategia muy ganadora para poder ver esas dinámicas: qué preguntan en las ferias, en qué están interesados y también tener esos acercamientos para que ellos conozcan las empresas desde antes y no se postulen a ciegas, sino que sepan cuáles son los beneficios y que puedan estar muy alineados y lleguen al lugar que quieren llegar”.
Isabela Arcila del Groupe SEB señaló la importancia este encuentro, muchos conocen a Imusa, pero pocos saben qué empresa está detrás de la marca. Asimismo, también favorecen los procesos internos: “Nos parece una muy buena estrategia porque tenemos el contacto directo con los estudiantes. Vemos sus ganas, su iniciativa y eso lo tenemos muy en cuenta al momento de realizar las entrevistas”.
Evelyn Marín de Haceb Whirlpool Industrial destacó este mismo punto: “Nos parece importante venir donde los estudiantes a enseñarles acerca de la empresa y qué beneficios tenemos, para que ellos se proyecten y decidan si realmente quieren estar con nosotros”.
Una de las estaciones más concurridas fue la del Club Orcas de Rugby Subacuático. Johan Álvarez, quien preside la organización, indicó que se propusieron motivar a los estudiantes, “que se interesen en hacer sus prácticas formativas. Tenemos a un profe que es campeón mundial y que también es parte del grupo docente TdeA. De la mano con él y los profes, queremos que ellos puedan hacer todas sus prácticas y puedan potencializar todo su conocimiento en nuestro deporte”.
Las estaciones también fueron ocupadas por instituciones y empresas, igualmente, reconocidas como la Gobernación de Antioquia, el Hospital La María, nuestro vecino el Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe, entre otros aliados de gran renombre.
La Feria de Prácticas reafirma el compromiso del TdeA con la formación integral, el fortalecimiento del relacionamiento institucional y la inserción laboral pertinente y digna para nuestros estudiantes.
Third TdeA Internship Expo
A Gateway to a World of Opportunities
With enthusiasm and the Coliseum full of students, the third Institutional Fair of Professional Internships of TdeA took place, a strategy aimed at strengthening the ties between academic programs and the productive sector. This year, the event featured the presence of 47 internship centers in various fields of knowledge.
Lucrecia Avendaño, coordinator of internships for the Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, highlighted that this initiative is an institutional commitment for students from all majors to discover real opportunities for engagement. "Each faculty prioritized relevant practice scenarios for their programs, aiming to broaden the call and provide equitable access," she noted.
Mónica María Villa, a professor and coordinator of Social Work internships, said that they are increasingly improving in organization and the number of allies and participating students is growing, as well as the interaction between institutions, which has created a conducive environment for networking.
The professor assured that the practice centers from previous editions repeated the experience this year and more joined: "They saw an opportunity to present to the students what they do and how to integrate them into the everyday practice in those settings."
These meetings provide assurance to future interns, help them identify their interests, and companies can enhance their selection processes. It would be something like a match, facilitated in part by the presence of the same interns from some of the institutions that were part of the offer, such as Alejandro Salas, a TdeA student who is doing his internship at our Prometeo. He shared that this fair represents a great help in clearing up doubts and finding clear options at a decisive moment: "I think it's a very great opportunity because, as a student, when you go out to do internships, you are in a moment of stress."
The same happened at the Municipality of Itagüí station, where John Dayron Pérez, one of our TdeA students, is doing his professional internship. He indicated that this space is very beneficial, especially for those who don't have much time to search for an internship center because they work while studying, as was the case for him: "The Fair is spectacular, it's a great opportunity."
Students like Isabel Cristina López and Isabela Pavón agreed that this type of event provides security, clarity, and professional perspective. "Well, the truth is I think it's a very important space for all TdeA students, so we can have a very broad overview of where to do internships and what benefits companies bring." "Super good," mentioned Isabel Cristina.
"Well, it has been really cool because it gives us more options for internships, allowing us to truly evaluate what we want for our lives as professionals," Isabela concluded.
This experience also reveals realities of the working world, new to them. For example, Santi Esteban Osorio found job offers very far from his home, which represented an adaptation challenge for the student, but taking the positive: "It's good to see so many options and one can have them in sight and analyze them."
On the part of the companies, participation was also noteworthy. Leidi Yohana Osorio, selection analyst at Bancolombia, emphasized the strategic value of these spaces with the students: "It is a very winning strategy to be able to see those dynamics: what they ask at the fairs, what they are interested in, and also to have those approaches so that they can get to know the companies beforehand and not apply blindly, but know what the benefits are and be very aligned and reach the place they want to reach."
Isabela Arcila from Groupe SEB highlighted the importance of this meeting, many know Imusa, but few know what company is behind the brand. Likewise, they also favor internal processes: "It seems like a very good strategy to us because we have direct contact with the students." We see their eagerness, their initiative, and we take that very much into account when conducting the interviews.
Evelyn Marín from Haceb Whirlpool Industrial highlighted this very point: "We find it important to come to the students to teach them about the company and what benefits we have, so they can envision themselves and decide if they really want to be with us."
One of the busiest stations was the Orcas Underwater Rugby Club. Johan Álvarez, who presides over the organization, indicated that they aimed to motivate students "to take an interest in doing their formative internships." We have a teacher who is a world champion and is also part of the TdeA teaching group. Hand in hand with him and the teachers, we want them to be able to do all their practices and to enhance all their knowledge in our sport.
The stations were also occupied by institutions and companies, equally recognized such as the Government of Antioquia, the La María Hospital, our neighbor the Pablo Tobón Uribe Hospital, among other highly renowned allies.
