Para el rector del Tecnológico de Antioquia, Leonardo García Botero, la XVI Semana del Derecho y la Criminalística, tiene “un significado muy profundo para la academia, especialmente porque establece cada año una temática que impacta a la sociedad con un legado de nuestros preceptos al servicio de las transformaciones que demanda el mundo”.
En el acto de apertura de este evento anual, que es llevó a cabo en el auditorio institucional Gilberto Echeverri, organizado por la Facultad de Derecho y Ciencias Forenses del TdeA, el rector dijo, además, que: “En estos espacios de diálogo, convergen disciplinas y ciencias que tienen mucho que aportar al cambio de una mejor sociedad para abrir nuevas perspectivas y horizontes que faciliten la construcción de un mejor país y un mejor mundo. No puede ser otra la apuesta y ese es nuestro compromiso”.
En su intervención, García Botero, destacó que: “Es una fortuna encontrarnos en uno de los pocos certámenes que tiene como tema central el derecho, la criminalística y las ciencias forenses en su conjunto. Este evento, se constituye en la oportunidad imponderable para generar espacios de reflexión, intercambio de pensamiento actualizado, conocimiento, diferentes enfoques que nos permitan identificar temas críticos que, día a día, experimenta la justicia no solo en nuestro país, sino a nivel internacional, para enfrentar los retos que nos deparan los cambios sociales y las nuevas modalidades delictivas”.
Para Luz Elena Mira Olano, decana de la Facultad de Derecho y Ciencias Forenses del TdeA, la semana del Derecho y la Criminalística, en su XVI versión, que se desarrolla entre el 8 y el 10 de noviembre: “Muestra un evento efectivamente insigne en nuestra Institución. Para este año el tema central es Tiempos convulsos que hace relación al derecho de protesta y manifestación, a las nuevas criminalidades, a la enseñanza del derecho y la criminalística y todo lo que tiene que ver con esas alteraciones del orden público que han motivado cambios extremos no solo en la enseñanza sino también en el ejercicio profesional”.
De acuerdo con la decana, se cuenta con invitados de México, Argentina, Chile y Colombia. “Vamos a estar trabajando en lo relacionado con bloques de criminalística en genética forense, entomología forense, grafología forense y, en derecho. Vamos a hablar sobre política criminal, lo que es educación y salud en tiempos del Covid 19, el derecho a la protesta, y con estos temas, pretendemos que los estudiantes fortalezcan el conocimiento en cada una de estas áreas”, explicó la funcionaria.
La decana anunció, asimismo que: “En este momento, tenemos 484 estudiantes inscritos, tanto de Derecho como de Criminalística e Investigación judicial. También hay egresados y queremos que ellos aclaren y profundicen en temas de su interés. Este es un evento científico, que fortalece unas líneas y unos ejes temáticos muy importantes para el ejercicio de la profesión, donde se van a tratar avances de proyectos de investigación que sirven muchísimo en análisis de casos y con la intervención de los profesionales, no solo del derecho sino también de las ciencias forenses en temas que se estén presentando en la cotidianidad del mundo”.
XVI TdeA Law and Criminalistics Week: "An event with very deep meaning for the academy": TdeA’s President
For the President of Tecnológico de Antioquia, Leonardo García Botero, the XVI Week of Law and Criminalistics, has "a very deep meaning for the academy, especially because it establishes each year a theme that impacts society with a legacy of our precepts at the service of the transformations that the world demands."
In the opening ceremony of this annual event, which is held at the Gilberto Echeverri institutional auditorium, organized by the School of Law and Forensic Sciences of the TdeA, the President also said that: "In these spaces of dialogue, disciplines and sciences converge that have much to contribute to the change of a better society to open new perspectives and horizons that facilitate the construction of a better country and a better world. The bet cannot be otherwise and that is our commitment."
In his speech, García Botero, stressed that: "It is fortunate to be in one of the few contests that has as its central theme law, criminalistics and forensic sciences as a whole. This event constitutes the imponderable opportunity to generate spaces for reflection, exchange of updated thought, knowledge, different approaches that allow us to identify critical issues that, day by day, justice experiences not only in our country, but at the international level, to face the challenges that social changes and new criminal modalities bring us."
For Luz Elena Mira Olano, dean of the School of Law and Forensic Sciences of the TdeA, the week of Law and Criminalistics, in its XVI version, which takes place between November 8 and 10: "It shows an event effectively distinguished in our Institution. For this year the central theme is Convulsive Times that relates to the right to protest and demonstration, to the new criminalities, to the teaching of law and criminalistics and everything that has to do with those alterations of public order that have motivated extreme changes not only in teaching but also in professional practice."
According to the dean, there are guests from Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Colombia. "We will be working on criminalistics blocks in forensic genetics, forensic entomology, forensic graphology and, in law. We are going to talk about criminal policy, what education and health is in times of Covid 19, the right to protest, and with these issues, we intend for students to strengthen knowledge in each of these areas," explained the directors.
The dean also announced that: "At this time, we have 484 students enrolled, both in Law and In Criminalistics and Judicial Investigation. There are also graduates and we want them to clarify and deepen on topics of interest to them. This is a scientific event, which strengthens some very important lines and thematic axes for the exercise of the profession, where advances in research projects that serve a lot in case analysis and with the intervention of professionals, not only of the law but also of the forensic sciences in topics that are being presented in the daily life of the world, will be discussed."
