Con tan solo 5 años Wilfrán Alexis Gaviria sabía que la música lo acompañaría durante toda su vida. Un Xilófono, un acordeón, un tambor fueron los primeros regalos de su infancia y detrás de estos llegó también una guitarra de juguete que confirmó su idea de continuar en este camino.
De sus padres Stella López y Guillermo Gaviria recibió siempre el apoyo incondicional en este noble propósito por eso no fue nada difícil perseguir sus sueños y contagiar de esta misma idea de estudiar música a sus dos hermanos menores: Anderson Estiven Gaviria, Cornista de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Eafit y Sebastián Gaviria, Violinista de la de la Orquesta Filarmónica Juvenil de Bogotá, quienes se vieron seducidos hacia los instrumentos musicales.
Después de varios años de estudio, Wilfrán, logra obtener el título de Flautista en la Universidad de Antioquia promoción 2011. Es profesor de la Red de Escuelas de Medellín, y actualmente dicta clases de Flauta Traversa en el Tecnológico de Antioquia y acompaña a la Orquesta Allegro, a la Banda Sinfónica de la Institución, al grupo Fonotipos Band Jazz. Es compositor y arreglista. Lleva 3 años y medio en el TdeA.

To the Sound of the Transverse Flute
When he was only 5, Wilfrán Alexis Gaviria knew that music would accompany him throughout his life. A Xylophone, an accordion, a drum were the first gifts of his childhood and latter will a toy guitar that confirmed his idea to continue on this path.
From his parents Stella López and Guillermo Gaviria he always received unconditional support in this noble purpose. It was not difficult to pursue his dreams and spread the same idea of studying music to his two younger brothers: Anderson Estiven Gaviria, Horn musician of the Symphony Orchestra of Eafit and Sebastián Gaviria, violinist of the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá, who were seduced by musical instruments.
After several years of study, Wilfrán, obtains the title of flutists at the University of Antioquia, cohort 2011. He is a teacher of the Music School Network of Medellín, and currently teaches Traverse Flute at the Tecnológico de Antioquia and accompanies the Orchestra Allegro, the Symphonic Band of the Institution, and the Jazz Band Fonotipos. He is a composer and arranger. He has been part of the TdeA for the past 3 and a half years.
