El rector del TdeA, dio una calurosa bienvenida a los nuevos estudiantes del período 02 de 2019. En el evento, estuvo acompañado de los demás directivos y representantes de Sapiencia, programa del Municipio de Medellín que otorga las Becas Tecnológicas.
En su tradicional discurso de bienvenida durante la Jornada de Inducción a la vida Institucional “Vive el TdeA”, realizado este 6 de agosto en el Coliseo Institucional, el Rector resaltó el sentido humano y la formación integral de la Institución Universitaria. Destacó, además, el fortalecimiento académico, con 26 programas de pregrado y 11 de posgrado, con cerca de 40 mil egresados y unos 11 mil proyectos de vida como llama a los estudiantes, al igual que su crecimiento físico, en especial de la Ciudadela Universitaria Aburrá Sur, que se construirá en el municipio de Itagüí.
“Llegan ustedes a la primera institución universitaria de Colombia en estar acreditada en Alta Calidad; es un plus muy grande, que no se consigue de la noche a la mañana. Acá formamos seres humanos. Ustedes son el futuro del país y tienen una responsabilidad muy grande con la sociedad. Ingresan a una casa de estudios superiores que es patrimonio público, con gran sentido de pertenencia y mística, al que queremos y que tenemos que cuidar. Le pido a Dios que bendiga a la Familia de TdeA de la cual ustedes ya hacen parte”, fueron algunas de las palabras pronunciadas y la invitación que hizo el rector Portocarrero Sierra en esta jornada.

Warmly Welcome Ceremony for New Members of the TdeA Family
The president of the TdeA, warmly welcomed the new students of the second term of 2019. During the event, he was accompanied by the other executives and representatives of Sapiencia, a program of the Municipality of Medellín that grants the Technological Scholarships.
In his traditional welcoming speech during the Day of Induction to the Institutional life "Live the TdeA," held this August 6 in the Institutional Coliseum, the president highlighted the human sense and the integral formation delivered by the University Institution. He also highlighted the academic strengthening, with 26 undergraduate and 11 postgraduate programs, with about 40 thousand graduates and close to 11 thousand life projects as he likes to call the students. He also underscored the University’s growth, especially of the University Campus Aburrá Sur, which will be built in the municipality of Itagüí.
“You are now arriving to the first university institution in Colombia to be accredited in High Quality; It is a very big plus, which is not achieved overnight. Here we train human beings. You are the future of the country and you have a great responsibility with society. You are entering a house of higher studies that is a public heritage, with a great sense of belonging and mysticism, which we love and that we must take care of. I ask God to bless the TdeA Family of which you are already a part,” were some of the words spoken and the invitation made by the president Portocarrero Sierra on this day.
